ISLAND HOPPERâ„¢ - AQUA SPORTS TECHNOLOGY

Island Hopper Banana Sleds & Water Trampolines

Aqua Sports Technology was established and incorporated in 1991. As a primary proponent in the development of banana style water sleds, Aqua Sports was one of the first companies to introduce banana boats into the United States retail market. As the following of this product grew, we were encouraged by several of our larger retailers to increase our available sizes and create new products. By 1997, Aqua Sports had steadily expanded, introducing new sizes and configurations of banana boats and growing to the largest distributor of water sleds in the United States. In 1998, Aqua Sports developed its first water trampolines and soon after trademarked the name Island Hopper™.

Inflation Instructions
Aqua Sports Technology uses a high quality "inflatable boat valve" on our banana boats and water trampolines. This valve can be used with most power inflators or the foot pump that is supplied with every banana boat.

Needle Spring system  Two part valve- Top screws into bottom half that is inside the tube
To open the valve, simply push down the yellow-topped needle spring and turn to the right while in the down position. The needle spring will stay down and the valve will be open. You can then simply butt any power inflator or Shop Vac up to this opening and fill the trampoline or banana until firm.  Once it is firm, quickly remove the inflator and push down the needle spring and turn to the left  - it will pop back up to the closed position.

How much air is the right amount? In general, the banana boat or water trampoline is full when it is very firm.  An adult should be able to sit on the tube and only sink a couple of inches. Banana boats need to be full of air and properly maintained for long product life. In order to properly inflate and maintain tubes, you must have the proper equipment.

Valve adaptor- you can also use the supplied vavle adaptor to help secure the power inflator to the opening.

Pumps: Banana boats and water trampoline do not require high-pressure pumps; they are low-pressure high Pump it up fast with the meircal pump volume products. If you could measure the pressure in a fully inflated tube, it would be around 2 -3 PSI. To inflate your product, we suggest the Metro Vac Power Inflators. For Water Trampoline owners, the MAGIC AIR DELUXE 110 VOLT is a fast and efficient way to fill your trampoline tube.  You can also use a shop vac on reverse. For banana boat users, the MAGIC AIR 12 volt will provide ample power to fill your banana boat and is available with ether alligator clips to connect to your boat or car battery or with a plug that fits into your boats cigarette lighter.
